Session Shares

Each Month Session will share a report from the Session Meeting. The purpose is to give information on what is happening and decisions made at the meeting.

July

Your Session is working hard to make sure all bases are covered during Pastor Charlie’s Sabbatical. We have a full slate of people for pulpit supply during that time, including some of our own church family! Fall programs will start on Wednesday, September 16 with a kickoff dinner, homemade ice cream and bingo. John Hartman, Buildings and Grounds, has been pursuing ways to fix water issues around sills. Work is continuing on improving technology issues. We will have a congregational meeting July 26 to vote on the new bylaws and on a Nominating Committee. Currently serving on Session are: Karen Barbour (clerk), Deron Beck, John Hartman, Jim and Laurea Howell, Jeanie Kearney, Danny Renfro and Brad Watson. We have been working hard to get the church bylaws updated so they can help guide our faith community as we move forward. We will be bringing them to you for a vote on Sunday, July 26th right after church. We will also have a Nominating Committee for you to vote on at that time. We want to hear from you with any concerns or ideas about anything in our church!
